2023 July 17 - Grapefruit garden
Today get up a little earlier around 8 a.m. By sleeping so much, we begin
to be satisfied! For breakfast, our usual cafe is closed this morning, fortunately we find another: the "Top Paradise" which is also very good, on the menu: pastries, fruits, toast, yogurts and unlimited coffee! We refuse nothing!
On the program today, the Pamplemousse botanical garden which is a very beautiful park which was originally the garden of a large colonial house.
This garden helps protect plant species of which we learn that many
were imported during the colonial period and are not all native to Mauritius: many kinds of palm trees, large century-old trees, lotuses, water lilies, etc... It was Magnificent!
