August 10, 2009 - change of guesthouse
after a few days of interruption due to internet outage in leh,
Here is the return of our adventures!
first a little thought for the many readers of this travel journal
(millions and millions), and a little hello in particular to Juliette, Maurine and Sandro
who each wrote me a little note which made me very happy!!
Today, August 10, it#039;s Saint Laurent#039;s Day hehe, we decide to change
guesthouse. We check out our room around 11 a.m., the luggage is packed.
we had booked a taxi to take us to the village of changspa but it never came!
So we went there on foot!
we thought we#039;d find it quickly but at 3 p.m. we still hadn#039;t found anything!
it must be said that we now have some requirements: hot water, toilet and private shower with
room etc...
and in this village, it#039;s far from easy to find... (I know I#039;m getting older and getting used to a bit of
comfort, I say it before some evil spirits say it hehe)
We end up finding a guesthouse perched on top of a hill:
it#039;s a little grandfather aged 70-80 who takes care of it with his daughter. This is the White Lotus Guesthouse.
we have a great room with a view of the mountains, 1 bathroom, a terrace, hot water
on the ground floor.
we#039;re really in a local#039;s home, they are both adorable and smiling, they don#039;t know what
do to please us.
we therefore enter the phase of immersion in a Ladakhi family
for a little idea of our view from the terrace:
