Wednesday July 2, 1997 - Arrival in Singapore
The plane therefore arrived safely, 3 hours late.
I remember that background music was playing
on the plane after landing in Singapore
It’s Jealous Guy by John Lennon! it's a sign !
Going through customs is no problem.
Alex has been waiting for over 3 hours.
We recognize each other without any problem.

We take a taxi to the apartment where he lives with his sister and brother.
in the “tampinies” district
Upon arrival we leave immediately to visit his brother
who is unfortunately in the Singapore hospital.
In the afternoon we meet Tracy, Alex's sister.
Charming and cheerful, she explains lots of things.

A particularity of the buildings and apartments here in Singapore
it is their disposition.
A sort of continuous corridor runs outside and all along the building.
like a balcony that would go all around the building.
each entrance door and each window opens onto this “balcony”
so that we pass and we can see through the windows when joining
his own apartment
This first Asian day continues with the meeting of a friend
by Alex “Frankie”. He says he's his "God Brother"
A lot of people are his “God Father”, “God Sister”, etc....
Most of these people I think were met as part of his
evangelist church....
The day will end with dinner in a shopping center in Tampinies.
