05 departure for Thimphu, capital of Bhutan
Around 9:00 this morning, we leave for the capital of nbsp;Buthan, Thimphu.
The weather is superb and sunny.
On the way we make a few stops, to see a curiosity, an iron bridge suspended over a river.
Perfect for treating vertigo.
upon arriving in town, a 13th century monastery.
We participate in a tara pudja.
a little further, a large stupa erected by a queen in memory of her son
You can see hundreds of people of all ages walking there. Really very touching.
We even saw the Minister of National Education walking around the stupa like everyone else!
some nuns welcome us a little further into their ldquo;nonneryrdquo;
Then after lunch, 2 very typical small markets.
right after, nbsp;we witnessed the Bhutanese national sport: archery. Where we see competitors aiming at a target 150 meters away and very often hitting the bullseye! Impressive.
nbsp;
Françoise n’aurait pas aimé le pont, vu ce que j’ai pu constater dans une situation similaire en Irlande !
ma maman, égale à elle même sur les photos! :) (et merci à Laurent pour le partage du carnet de bord)
