
08 - gangstey temple and hike
Still in this superb valley, this morning we go to a nunnery (women#039;s monastery) where we are superbly welcomed: A little tea after a meditation in the temple
After lunch we go to the superb gangstey temple which dates from the 13th century.
On the way we stop to see a black necked crane. It is the national bird which migrates every year from Tibet to Bhutan. Moreover, to protect this species, huge fields are prohibited to preserve the growth of bamboo which is the food of this bird.
After visiting the temple, we begin a superb hike through fields, forest, village and river. Stunning
