09 - departure to Paro

Today we leave this magnificent valley to go towards Paro which is the 3rd city of the country.

In the village of our hotel, we are offered to stop at the primary school. You should know that school here is compulsory and free for all Bhutanese children up to high school.

We can also see that they are all perfectly bilingual: Dsongha the language of the country and English (which is taught very early) On the classroom walls there are little sentences of morality and principles of wisdom full of depth

On the way we stop in a traditional village.

We arrive in Paro at the end of the afternoon where we are again welcomed by lama Gyourme and his family. A small local sake is offered!

We end the day magnificently with a lesson to meditate on for a lifetime: the 4 thoughts that change the way the mind turns (of which I give you a few snippets here)

1- realize death and impermanence

Everything ends one day. Everything changes all the time, nothing is permanent.

A bet to make: the hypothesis of a sequel

2- The law of causes and effects
lt;p dir="ltr"gt;We also call it the Butterfly Effectlt;/pgt;
lt;p dir="ltr"gt;It#039;s not the events we experience that count
But it is the reaction to the event which is important and which will then condition the possible outcome(s)lt;/pgt;
3 - the imperfect nature of existence

To seek perfection is to seek something that does not exist

4 - the precious nature of our existence

To meditate
