August 15, 2009 - indian national holiday
Today, August 15, is a public holiday in India!
Itrsquo;s National Day and Independence Day!
Our charming landlady does not work (she is a nurse in a school)
had prepared cauliflower and broccoli #039;chapati#039; for breakfast....
a chapati is unleavened bread
it was super nice
except for me in the morning...eating non-sugar things, I#039;ve never been able to get used to it
I took some to please him but hey, hehehe
This morning there were celebrations at Leh Stadium in honor of the National Day
we arrived at the end but enough to see that there were a lot of people, the army but
also all the schools in the city with all the little pupils or students in uniform
(uniform which is compulsory in all Indian schools, and here when we know what are
the different social classes, I find it very good that all the students are the same...)
It happened at the leh polo field under the palace:

Hello John !
