August 21, 2009 - arrival in Delhi
Today is the arrival in Delhi
The plane trip went well!
On arrival it#039;s a shock but we expected it
suffocating, humid heat
It#039;s monsoon, it rains all the time
we are in the pahar ganj district which is the backpacker district in New Delhi
the picture speaks for itself
streets crowded with cars, rickshaws, bikes, cows!!
the horror of traffic!!!
but this is the area of cheap hotels for travelers!
we stay in the ANOOP HOTEL
an unpretentious room but with air conditioning! here it is obligatory!
that#039;s it, Delhi being a totally exhausting city I#039;m going to stop there!
it#039;s true that for the moment we can only regret the smiles and the kindness of the
Ladakhi and Tibetans, here it#039;s very different!!! we are first of all currencies with 2 legs!
but hey, thatrsquo;s also part of the game!!!
