October 3 - Tibetan village of Tashi Ling

Today, today#039;s walk takes us to the village of Tashi Ling which is a Tibetan village which shelters refugees from Tibet who fled their country since the invasion of 1949.

The place is peaceful, everyone welcomes us with big smiles

there is a monastery at the entrance to the village, a very young monk opens the doors of the temple for us. When we tell him that we come from France, he tells us that all the monks were for France during the last football world cup! Itrsquo;s true that I am a specialist in this field!

We eat there in a very small restaurant. Next to it there is a museum/memorial which tells the sad story of these people since their exile. one sentence stood out to me in the different texts: in the early days of the exiles (during the furious madness of Mao#039;s cultural revolution), the first refugees had succeeded in their escape but they no longer wanted to live... hard

Since then, the reception of refugees has been set up to organize housing, education
