Today, August 2, everything is still going well.
Our days are always organized the same way
in the morning after a hearty breakfast on a nice terrace, morning of reading
in the afternoon stroll or hike.
today it is the palace of leh (the gray building in ruins but currently being restored) with a small gompa (monastery in red and white) built just above
the climb is quite steep but at this altitude it does a lot of good to the lungs

Once we arrive at the top of the monastery, a monk opens the doors of a very old building for us.
where is a huge statue of the Buddha (the equivalent of 3 floors)
To get to the palace, you have to cross the old leh, the oldest part of the city which is also being restored.
