August 9, 2009 - Alchi and Lichir
Today our journey will take us nearly 80 kilometers from Leh
in a small village called #039;ALCHI#039;
it#039;s in the middle of the mountains
we get up quite early around 6:30 a.m. because it is almost a 2 hour drive.
to get there, we go through passes that are sometimes a little impressive, desert peaks
and a lunar landscape
on the road, we take a small steep path which leads us to the monastery of Lichir
which is absolutely superb: from the 11th century with a monumental statue behind
absolutely magical
At noon we have lunch in the village of Alchi
we return in the afternoon around 3:30 p.m. without incident
our taxi is a good driver who drives carefully!! Itrsquo;s a plus on roads like this!

Je suis attentivement, chaque jours, les résumés de tes journées. Les photos sont magnifiques et les textes très bien détaillés. C’est une très bonne idée d’avoir écris ce carnet de voyage.
Passe de bonne vacances, bisous et à bientôt :)
