Monday July 21, 1997 - last day in Sandakan
Today is the last day in Sandakan, still on the island of Borneo.
After a breakfast at home, we do some shopping at the supermarket just to buy
a few trifles and a few memories.
In the afternoon, Alex Catherine and I go for a little walk in town.
We pass by a Chinese temple which overlooks the city and the coast.
The end-of-holiday atmosphere is a little sad but no one says anything.
In the evening we treat ourselves to dinner in a luxury Western restaurant!
