2023 July 8 Port Louis

Today woke up at 7:30 a.m. A taxi is coming
pick us up at 9:45 a.m. to take us to the capital of Mauritius: Port Louis.
The taxi is on time, the driver himself
a meeting at 11 a.m. in Port Louis.

We arrive around 11 a.m., check-in goes smoothly. We are at the hotel
Suffren of Port of Port-Louis.

We immediately go for a walk.
The city is a bit surprising, a mix of
modernity and older neighborhoods.
We walk a little randomly. A
surprisingly, almost all
stores and restaurants are closed this
Saturday afternoon

We go to the local chinatown and
there we easily find something to eat. then stroll in the historic district then visit a mosque then return to the hotel where we will take a little nap as well as a little spa-swimming visit!
