09 tang valley
Today, still in the province of Bhumtang, we are going to the Tang valley.
About 2 hours drive we leave through a huge pine forest
It#039;s great weather
At the end an 8th century monastery where a monk welcomes us
A little further a museum on the history of the region and its way of life. It is run by a very old family, former aristocrats who converted their house into a museum when the 3rd king of Bhutan redistributed the land of the large landowners to Bhutanese citizens.
We have lunch in their new house in a magnificent garden!
In the afternoon, a short walk in these magnificent landscapes
In the evening for dinner, yet another birthday, that of Francoise, which we celebrated around a wood fire in the hotel garden, singing!
