Sunday July 6, 1997 - Cameron Highlands
Night at the Strawberry hotel, in the mountains.
Very calm and cool, which is a change from the rest of Malaysia.
We leave immediately after breakfast for the capital, Kuala Lumpur.
Along the way, we take a break at a site with very pretty waterfalls.
The annoying side of this little trip to mainland Malaysia is the fact that our bus systematically stops at a whole bunch of tourist shops, jewelry stores, clothing stores, etc.
the whole bus (of Chinese Indonesian tourists) seems to love it, almost as much as the country itself
Today it’s the turn of a jewelry store. We have lunch right next to each other as if by chance
In the afternoon, we leave for Genlings, still in the mountains. To reach the hotel where we are going to spend the night, we have to take a huge cable car whose journey takes almost 40 minutes. A superb landscape during the journey. the summit is completely foggy.
We spend the rest of the evening at the summit, in the setting of a huge hotel complex
