Today, still in Pokhara, we will stay there for several days.

short walk towards Devi#039;s Falls, the Devi waterfalls. Why devi, a bit of a sad story because a long time ago a boy named David fell into the falls, since then they have been given his slightly distorted name: devi.

Just opposite a Hindu temple built above and in caves. When we arrive there, a ceremony takes place, a pudja. Men and women seated in a circle sing together to the rhythm of bells and tambourines. Very interesting.

On 3 occasions we meet an Indian family from New Delhi. A curiosity here: Indians love to have photos taken with Westerners, we must surely be a bit like Martians! Hehe all this in a very smiling spirit!

We then return very gently along the lake where we also find a Hindu temple. There are them here approximately every 200 meters!

A little religious culture to finish: in Nepal the two majority religions are Hinduism (80% of the population) and Buddhism (20%). Buddhism was born in a Hindu culture much like Christianity was born in Jewish culture. But here the first has integrated the other without rejecting it: for Hindus, the Buddha is nothing other than a reincarnation (avatar) of one of their god (Vishnu), it is for this reason between other than the cohabitation of the 2 traditions is going so well!
